| Bangor Fire Department Mourns the loss of Ray V. Ducky Weidlich |

On January 20th the members of Liberty Fire Company #2 mourned the passing of Firefighter Ray V. Ducky Weidlich. Ducky was a member of Rescue Fire Company #1. Ducky was not only a member of the Bangor Fire Department but a member of VFW Post 739, American Legion Post 378, Bangor Elks Lodge #1106, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and was a Third Degree Master Mason of the Pennsylvania Free and Accepted Masons Pen Argyl Lodge #594. Ducky was also a former member of the Bangor Yellow Jackets Drum and Bugle Corp., the Slate Belt Band and Roseto Coronet Band. Ducky served in the Navy during World War II. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 31st at 11 a.m. in the First United Evangelical Congregational Church, 25 South Second St., Bangor, with Pastor Ron Shipman officiating. Call on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Fiore Funeral Home, 230 Market St., Bangor and on Tuesday from 10 till time of services in the church. The Masons will conduct services at 7:45 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. The Bangor Fire Companies will attend the viewing at 7 p.m. Military interment services will be in St. John s Cemetery, Bangor. Memorials
